One camera, one lens, one year

There's a thing among amateur photographers in which you limit yourself to one camera and one lens for a year. The idea is to defocus on gear and refocus on seeing and image-making, all the while drawing on what is said to be the creative potential of simplicity and limitation. I'm in for the year, as of November 2023, using the gear shown here – a Leica M2 body and 50mm Summarit f2.5 lens. I will also use one film: Ilford HP5+. Selected photographs will be shared here, latest pictures first, typically two or three weeks after being taken.

As for subject matter, I'm agnostic. I'll srart with local walkabouts and everyday life. Let's see where that leads. If I can manage to find some visual poetry in the ordinary, all the better.
